- Matt & Dawn, thank you for the great service!
- Really beautiful builds. Thanks for the pics. *NM*
- Is there a 1/25 or 1/24 travel trailer KIT?? Thanks *NM*
- So, how did Marty spend his holiday, you ask? Checking pot some cool cars, of course.... Fresh car show photos from the Davis Park Labor Day Celebration Car Show, in Rockford (IL).... *PICS* *LINK*
- Shortly after Noon, I left the Davis Park show and hopped on I-39 South to Paw Paw (IL), for that town's Lions Club Labor Day Car Show.... *PICS* *LINK*
- But wait... There's more!!! Only about a block from where the car show is held, in Paw Paw, there is also a Tractor and Four Wheel Drive Truck Pull.... *PICS* *LINK*
- ATTN: IPMS LAS VEGAS 2022. To see photos I didn't take click on link below then use right arrow, beside photo, to step through 300+ photos. *NM* *LINK*
- Sorta OT question....is drifting easier, or harder with FWD as opposed to RWD...or is there no difference?? Thanks.
- Somewhere this summer, there was an attempt at a Guiness record for number of Mustangs at one place. Heard about it from a fellow North Texas Mustang Club member who was going... *NM*
- Bob Mosher (child actor) in the LA area was building tribute Maxie/Hemi B-Bodies , but I don't recall if there were any AWBs
- Chevy Astro Van - is this in current production and available through SH? Thanks! *NM*
- Fading images from the past.....
- Was the Rock Dobbertin Pontiac J2000 prostreet ever reissued? I know the Beretta was released not long ago (shared chassis). Maybe Revell could release the J2000 or the Corvette? *NM*
- Trying a new image host. Can you see the pic? *PIC*
- Thanks for the wip pics and explanations. Gives a greater understanding of the ideas and efforts involved better than just the final project pics do. *NM*
- Remarkable variety of subjects and styles, all quality builds. Thanks for posting. *NM*
- Revell 70 Plymouth road runner
- Watkins Glen Historic Weekend coming up...who is going? I will be arriving sometime Thursday, cameras loaded and ready :) *NM*
- Does Ma's Resin still produce these wheels? *PIC*
- REALLY HAD NO IDEA.... What color I was going with, I had finished painting a few projects for friends of mine and I had this sitting in the garage in primer. Well, never used Tamiya and I had this can in my paint box so what the heck and I LIKE IT! PIC and thanks for lookg.
- Finished my Heller 1/43rd Alpine A310
- We think this is what you have all been waiting for.....
- Also, you mentioned to me that your son helps you with the computer stuff when he has time, and he just got married. *NM*
- Awesome. *NM*
- Thank you for sticking with it, difficult as it must be at times. Hopefully everyone will "color inside the lines" from here on out *NM*
- Well said.... You guys must have reading my mind, though I did build an EV car and have a few more on the horizon I will be sharing if I'm allowed. Oh, just to let you know I generally capitalize my first few words not as yelling but only to find my place as other post start *NM*
- WOW....I a little worried......BUT now think it sounds GREAT!!!! THANKS!!!! *NM*
- Thank you for that response, it seems like we needed to be saved from ourselves. *NM*
- Thanks to both of you! I think that captures a positive outlook going forward! *NM*
- Your whole response post should be added to your board rules... I'm relieved at reading your response... Your board... Your rules... Thanks for responing. *NM*
- Absolutely and positively on target! Inspiring. Thank you, Dawn and Matt! *NM*
- Our model car group has almost the same philosophy.
- ALSO REMEMBER: Dawn & Matt have a business to pay for, as well as running it. If we make their lives too difficult, they'll pull the plug. *NM*
- Despite my appreciationis for this board and my acknowledging of the efforts of it's owners
- Mea Culpa, and will comply, this board is to valuable especially the people who make it work! *NM*
- THANK YOU! That was my response in your poll- "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything", just scroll past, leave it alone. We're guests in your "house", act that way. *NM*
- Sounds reasonable. Looking forward to the eventual picture hosting. *NM*
- Sounds good! *NM*
- Matt/Dawn: Ya did good!! *NM*
- Re: Glad to here and amen to that *NM*
- Well said. I appreciate the clarity, and look forward to the board getting back to model cars and trucks with less drama. :-) *NM*
- Thanks, Matt & Dawn. I see no reason these rules should not continue this board as a pleasant place to talk models. *NM*
- Sounds good to me. I've been on a lot of message boards over the years, and because of they way they're public and topics stick around for days, they have to be a bit more "heavy-handed" with moderating posts than something like an in-person club would be. *NM*
- I welcome the clarity and the rededication to being a friendly board. I am a little worried about the new policy of accepting comments on the very subject that has caused the most divisiveness here in the recent past. I hope your intent to keep that subject
- Keep up the great work and thanks for supporting this great hobby and this board! *NM*
- Thank you! Tom did a great job of keeping the riffraff in line and you are too. *NM*
- Matt and Dawn, THANK YOU! *NM*
- Thank you guys and I will do my best to follow the rules as I love this board and the info on model building I can get and don't want to jeopardize it. Thanks again Matt and Dawn and hope to meet you someday before Heaven.. *NM*
- miss it for sure, been here hobby heaven 1997, mostly a lurker now days *NM*
- The black distributor cap with the Tasca Ford Mustang is one of Norms pieces (R&MOM), the one with the 2% Mustang is a Model Car Garage piece, a Mallory Unilite......no longer available I believe. *NM*
- The few times I used Testors Ruby Red from the can, I got crude that seemed to come out the can. Lovin this build. *NM*
- Excellent show! *NM*
- Thank you Rich for the pics. *NM*
- The tip on the top is one I will copy. I like the level body stance *NM*
- Nice piece of work Dave! Lots of good how-to info in the pix and text. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. *NM*
- KIT QUESTION: Does this latest re-pop of the AMT Shelby Cobra 289 have anything new the older issues don't have...tampo-printed tires maybe? *NM*
- Wonderful work, Dave, and great documentation. *NM*
- Thanks Carl! *NM*
- Thanks for sharing the PICS!! *NM*
- That '62 reminds me how much fun Pro Street was *NM*
- What paint or paint mix matches the gold on a '57 Chevy's grille and trim? TIA *NM*
- Really neat. Gives me some ideas for one of the AMT T's I have squirreled *NM*
- I also would miss it very much *NM*
- Ok, ok, ok! Tradition, aesthetics and everyone says, body and frame should be the same color on a 32 Ford. BUT I like to challenge the norm. I haven't decided for sure but maybe I like this. PIC
- Contrasting colors can set a build apart. Yet, same-color frame, suspension, etc. hide goobers, glue squeeze-out, etc. much better (had to find that out the hard way, friend). *NM*
- Well I like the red. *NM*
- Go for it, it's your build. I like it. And BTW, when it comes to hot rods, there shouldn't be any "should be"!! *NM*
- When the Revell 32 Coupe kit first came out it was chosen for a club build. The guys were making such a big deal about the proper frame rails, I didn’t know much about them back then, that I decided to highlight them by painting them same colour as the interior. So I had
- Terry, I've always "danced to my own music". Your model, paint it to suit YOU! Just sayin' *NM*
- If you had some red on the bodyside - scallop, etc, I think you could carry it off. Love the Offy in there, too. *NM*
- Yes, it is an LS.... I spent quite a while chatting with the owner, and he simply did that to cover up those ugly LS coils, but wanted something different than the faux BBC valve covers everybody else has. *NM*
- The owner was just being clever. Since the car is a marriage of a 69 and 70, hence 69 1/2 . *NM*
- I definitely would miss this message board!!! *NM*
- That is so cool! *NM*
- NOT model car related: 9-5-1956. Enlisted in the United States Navy. *NM*
- Matt and Dawn, your poll has gotten the troops excited. It seems everyone thinks your question was because of the conflicts that happen from time to time. I wonder if it is a business related question. Either way, most people would miss the board but I hope that
- Looks great! Especially with the body off. *NM*
- David Burket... There's a name we haven't heard of for a while... Facebook tells me it's his birthday today... Many happy returns "Model King" *NM*
- It is not all original because of Ontario's road salt. I has had major restoration work but we kept it as close to original as possible, including the power train. *NM*
- "What's prompting the question?" After 5 days of dropping the bombshell poll question, we still don't know... Crickets on the subject from our hosts... *NM*
- Keep 'em comin', Rich. I, even started a model car kit Saturday, as I watched my "Dawgs" kick butt. L'il John Buttera's '26 Ford T Sedan Delivery. *NM*
- Dave, with what do you glue the chrome parts together?
- Very cool build sir, way that kitty is looking at it musta belonged to a fish market before you got it, LOL! *NM*
- Thanks Dave, love reading and seeing the how to's from the pros! Neat work sir! *NM*
- Indeed! Precisely why I stayed home with mine! (Meager by comparison.) *NM*
- Sorry, I got entangled in a bunch of other stuff and just now getting back to the computer. I will post a new reminder at the top about needing a volunteer to post some pics of the '70-'69 combo Camaro 1-25 build and will try to fit it in at some point. *NM*
- Great pics Carl, especially like your Challenger...........nice. *NM*
- Just checked out their parts range, very interesting, the Offy looks like a 255 version as well & they also list a late 60's Ferrari P3 engine....which would suit the Fujimi curbside P3....decisions,decisions..lol. *NM*
- Great work. This is the kind of material that makes this place a great place to come. Thanks for sharing. *NM*
- And I got their slant 6 which is very nice too! *NM*
- Love it! Lotsa great stuff going on there, but I'm particularly digging how you kitbashed the nailhead. For reasons I should be able to explain in another week or two... 😁 *NM*
