Well, that was an interesting week. I'd never built one of the old Double Dragster kits, so I decided to build one this week because our local club has a no-contest get-together coming up this Sunday. I thought it'd be fun to see if I could have it ready in a week.

Neat old kit, but this is a recent release and that tool is OLD... Lots of flash, some ill-formed parts, parts fit conflicts. I grabbed some different wheels and tires, but mostly it's out of the box.

I need to find a fuel pump. What's supposed to be in the kit is just a chrome-plated blob. I want to add fuel lines from the tank to the metering block, at least. So I'll need to come up with that.

Still, it was fun to try. I have the Fiat coupe, too, which I built a few years ago. This was from an early version of the kit, and the parts seemed to work better on it.

Anyway, there it is.
