- Thanks Tim. They were fun to build. *NM*
- First two completions of the year. A road racer and dragster. PICS
- Hope all of friends in the LA area are staying safe, Scary stuff out there. *NM*
- This will be awesome.....once the rims are going in the same direction. :D *NM*
- I also saw that the AMT '76 Chevy Nova Pro Street is coming out. I haven't seen it in the Product Spotlight by Round2. Any idea when it might be out? Yes, I verified what it is exactly from TB's Fotki album from the Detroit show. *NM*
- Has anyone heard when the new Chevy Sta Wag is suppose to be released? Or the stock Valiant? Also, are either of these going to be curbside? *NM*
- Any photos from NNL West? *NM*
- Just heard from Dennis Doty that Bob Wooley passed away two days ago.
- Terry, what have you got planned for the radiator & hoses? *NM*
- I got this one in April of 2021, I think I will get it done this year. 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix (PICS)
- Here in my particular neighborhood in Cincinnati, OH, the final snow tally is 10 inches. That's over a 2 day period. I love it ! *NM*
- WRECKER QUESTION: Would the new Moebius wrecker be period correct for the AMT '60 F-100? What about the '50's Chevy pickups? *NM*
- Well, if a tow truck operator had a '72 rig that got totaled in a wreck, but the wrecker portion was ok, he might put it on an old Chevy farm truck his uncle never used any more. *NM*
- Light duty wrecker bodies are not that plentiful. Hard job finding good examples of 50's and 60's wreckers on line. *NM*
- There are diecast wreckers that might be good sources for parts. A 1950 lighter duty tow truck might have a Weaver hoist through. There is reference for scratchbuilting such a unit around the internet. *NM*
- You'd want the wrecker unit to be older than the truck (or equal for the first installation). The trucks wore out/rusted out faster than the wrecker, so a unit would be switched to a new truck when the first one wore out *NM*
- Thanks, Jim, Charlie, Brian, & Mark. I appreciate your help here. *NM*
- The wrecker body depicted by Moebuis is a Holmes 440 that was first released in 1966.
- We used to have a resident tow truck expert on here, Patrick Bailey maybe....
- There is a museum for tow trucks that may have some hepful info. Here the lnk to heir website. *NM* *LINK*
- I have two of the Moebius kits, working on one now, cut the bed down to a low side or west coast as some call it. I have a 60 F-100 waiting for the bed from the other kit. I’ll leave it as a high side, and period correct or not I’m doing it LOL! *NM*
- I thought if anyone had it would be Rays Decals, but I didnt see it on the website, some other beautiful sets for the D Series, but not that one *NM*
- First build for 2025.....sort of..........*PICS*.......
- Connie did a short interview with Car and Driver in 2016, where he explains parts of his life. *LINK*
- All great clean builds... well except for the rusty Impala, but still a great build. *NM*
- R2 JAN product announcements have ZERO model kits and some stuff that may violate forum rules.....so find it yourself if ou need to see it. Thx *NM*
- Atlantis has done a few reissued drag cars in liveries not previously seen in scale, like the 1/16 green elephant kit and the 1/32 red Jungle Jim Vega. So I believe that the 1/24 Pepsi Challenger is a real possibility. *NM*
- Great model! I noticed the nose as well. I'm curious about that too. *NM*
- Very cool little hot rod roadster... The blown flathead is neat, but I want to know about the awesome track nose. At first glance I thought it was the Revell A pickup piece, then I noticed the shape of the opening and the mesh grille. *NM*
- Yes, and I forgot another one, too. *PICS*
- I'm liking where you are going with it. What are you using for front suspension? *NM*
- Yes it is. That was the reason l did the build. Just to show off that engine. *NM*
- Thanks! *NM*
- Yes. It was the reason for the build. *NM*
- One guy I knew tried every combination imaginable...lacquer thinner made enamel cure faster. If he wanted a slow drying time, he'd thin it with lighter fluid *NM*
- I've had one of those Frenzel blowers for years and never got around to building the flattie for it. LOVE what you did with it! WELL done! *NM*
- Cool hot rod! *NM*
