• On a side note: Did you make those custom taillight lenses by sanding down the custom lenses from AMT’s “Throphy Series” ‘57 Bel Air to fit the ‘56 bezels? *NM*

  • It's for the same reasons film productions use generic food packaging for anything onscreen to avoid trademark clearance issues. I don't think the producers care what car guys think. It's just a prop. I've seen some in the past that simply covers a grille badge with tape. *NM*

• TinkerCad is the most difficult software I have ever used.......is there better???
  • All I know is that I can design any mechanical part, including wheels, in CadKey or even better Unigraphics/NX. And the 3D models can be converted to .stl files within that software. This is software used to design things like jet engines, and if you had a real good 3D

• Amen Charlie! I grew up in Atkins, IA until 11 yrs old. They bought 2 new '63 IH Fire Trucks and I got to ride in them a few times as Dad took them out sometimes for the monthly checklist run. Great times. *NM*
  • They also had a 38 IH Fire truck, same story with that one. It remained in backup service until the early 70s. It has since been restored and is used for parades and special events. *NM*
