O/T... Today the Belvidere Chrysler assembly plant worked it's final shift.... Perhaps ever. After 58 years of producing vehicle for Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and most recently Jeep, parent company Stellantis has idled the plant indefinitely....

I used to work for Chrysler Pre-delivery. Belvedere assembly was very good 1970-1975 *NM*
Actually, Les worked for one of the many "satellite" companies that supplied the Belvidere plant (in this case seats)... Luckily he retired before all of this stuff started. *NM*
And that's a good thing. Thanks, Marty. *NM*
Bad news for the workers. I thought about applying for a job there in 1976 but left the area *NM*
I drive by there 2-3 times a week and was lucky to see them load the cars on the train transport. Driving those cars up the ramp wasn't as slow as you'd think, they wipe them cars on taking no time at all. I'da wreck something. *NM*
