My 40+ year old Die Hard Sears battery charger and jump starter stopped working today. It was one of those big stand up units that needed wheels to move around. I was getting cars out of storage, charging batteries.....but none were charging. Cleaned terminals....still no go. Checked charger out put.....ONE volt in start mode. Nothing obvious I can fix......I'll set it aside and see if I can open it up and see if I can fix. But I am getting ready for Ponies in the Smokies and no time right now.
I have no issue about buying a new one after 40+ years.....but you guys know they do not make them like this any more. ALL chargers are now 'SMART' and a PAIN in my opinion.
