Part request please. Can anyone spare 4 matching round headlight covers for a 1960's -1970's stock car? Thanks ! *NM*
The smaller ones, for a 4 headlight car. *NM*
Yes! We need more Dodge trucks and 50s Mopars! *NM*
Finished up the interior of the '67 Riviera annual today. Kept it simple, just paint and a little black flocking , , *PIC*
Looks great.... I can almost smell the fresh leather! *NM*
Corinthian Leather....... Nice detail *NM*
100% genuine Madrid grain automotive grade vinyl. Real leather wasn't an option on those cars at the time. *NM*
What, no naughers were harmed to upholster this car?..........lol. *NM*
Heaven forbid, Andy. They went on the endangered species list back in the very early '60s right after the last harvest season, which you will remember all went to GM for the 1959 and '60 Cadillacs. *NM*
Well, here in Oz we didn't get any Caddys but the 59 & 60 Chev Bel Air 4drs we got had full leather seats as the local naughers had died out due to the kangaroos outgrazing them.......geeze I'm full of it today......lol. *NM*
Nice and clean *NM*
Simple works well *NM*
Came across this online from a 3D file site - Dodge L700 *PIC*
OT maybe question for Dave Van. Where are you getting your T bucket parts from, Speedway, or someone else? Thanks. *NM*
A number of different suppliers..... *PIC*
Where are you planning to stick the master cylinder? Have you picked up the body yet? *NM*
Master is under the seat area facing rear.......body is still TBA!!! *NM*
Will you have to run a proportioning valve with the brake system, Dave? *NM*
Yes......using a Speedway unit.......
Frank LuQue - what kits did you use to build this Camaro with? Is that a Piranha chassis? *PIC*
Wow hadn't had that out in a long time... Piranha chassis, reshaped the kit engine block for BBC, and moved the rear openings back to where I needed using the AMT 70 Baldwin Camaro. Lucas decals for the lace. *NM*
Wow! Great paint, btw. *NM*
I also did an extra LA Dart body in the same manor. Idea came from my Studebaker (Mr. Speed) *NM*
Don't forget your entry into the Piranah/Ford funny car build-off, between me, you, and Sparky.... *PIC*
Oh Dang I forgot about that one. Thanks *NM*
Has this been announced? I'd love to build a Mav or two. *NM*
Nothing official I don't think just rumors my understanding. I could only wish. *NM*
Ok thanks! Hopefully Moebius will note the enthusiasm and make it happen! *NM*
My understanding is that it is more than a rumor. *NM*
Just bought the Flintstone Hudson station wagon body...
I haven't checked but I'd venture to say yes as the Mobius kit is the donor. *NM*
So of the AMT & MPC Super Stockers - which is the best one? Or maybe the least worse one? If you were going to build "just one", which would it be? *NM*
"super stockers" or "modified stockers" that is ... *NM*
Which series is best of the two? I'd say the Super Stocker series because it was an attempt at replicating the purpose built short trackers that were becoming common in the mid 1970s, and looked more authentic to the eye. *PIC*
Here's the one I built as a kid, untouched after sitting in storage for decades *PICS*
A couple others built as a kid - same deal, untouched out of storage. *PICs*
Pretty good builds as a kid. I like them. Really want that Camaro. *NM*
Thanks. These were pretty much my favourite kits back then, which I suppose is why I seem to overparticipate in discussions about them... lol. My enthusiasm is genuine, though. *NM*
Thanks for this! I'm looking to replicate something generally like what would have run on the dirt track near where I grew up in the 70's and 80's
Sounds doable for sure! Our hosts have some available (see link)... *LINK* *PIC*
Sorry, I made a mistake. I just double checked my reissue GTO Super Stocker kit and it actually has dirt tires with what looks like the same tread pattern as the originals, but the new ones have Good Year tampo printed in white on the sidewalls.
That's all great information - thank you! *NM*
Glad to help! *NM*
WELL WHY NOT.... Add it to the pile, Dang when it rains it pours. This is in the plan when they finally hit the shores. PIX and thanks for looking.
Re:Looking good *NM*
That's pretty cool. Great ideas there. I love that you added the headers, btw. *NM*
2x *NM*
Because I can.....pics.....
I sure wish Round 2 / AMT would release those 1:16 scale Nomads and Convertibles again!!! *NM*
The 55s and 57 hardtop are available now - the 57 Nomad I have never seen myself. I didn't even know they made one till recently. *NM*
The 55 convertible and nomad have been reissued not long ago, the 57 convertible is out and the 55 hardtop just came back out. I think 57 nomad has only been out once *NM*
Hey Frank, got anything to go up against this Vette? *PIC*
Got a few..... PIX
Don't forget this one, Frankie... *NM* *PIC*
Or this one.... PIX
Thanks for sharing the PICS! *NM*
Oh man, that slant six is one rare bird. Love it! *NM*
Great PIX! Thanks, David. That slant-6... *NM*
Sure quiet here... *PIC*
Right....and it seems kinda dead where you are too. *NM*
Nice work on those :) *NM*
;^) *NM*
Yeah and I will have 999,000. *NM*
Monogram 1955 Chevrolet Belair...mockup
Looks nice. Was that kit made into the badman kit? *NM*
I have that kit as well, and the Badman, and some parts seem familiar between the two. *NM*
Yes it was :( *NM*
That's very cool. I like your idea. *NM*
Formal roof? :-) *NM*
Friday Evening Randomness..... ENJOY!!!! *PICS*
Always a great way to end the week! *NM*
Great selection *NM*
Thank You for posting. Cool as usual. *NM*
The Continental Pickmup is really wild :) *NM*
I like that Gremlin!!!! thx *NM*
X 2! *NM*
Dang Man how can I pick... But the green Suburban and the White Nova is steering my boat. *NM*
Whoever painted this delivery van has an awesome talent. Great freehand lettering along with a great paint job *NM* *PIC*
Thanks Marty! *NM*
Coolest PT Cruiser EVER!! *NM*
I like that ‘76 Trans Am….too bad you didn’t take any pics of the ‘91/‘92 GTA that is behind it. *NM*
What makes you think that I didn't??? 😁 *NM* *PIC*
Very nice! Thank you!!! *NM*
I think the kcar is pretty cool. I would rather see that one done as you can see a 32 all the time. *NM*
Well, the Vicky is a Model A, not a '32, soooooo..... *NM*
👍👍👍 *NM*
Still rather see that convertible done . *NM*
Will need a couple - Have nearly all the bits for the "High Country Cougar" that uses most of this kit save for the body... which I picked up in a swap for a few bucks
Wasn’t that cougar out not that long ago? It was in a set with the bronco at one time and then separate after that. *NM*
The Model King Cougar was the MPC '67/8, different kit altogether *NM*
Miscellaneous Mopar Madness *PICS*
Love, love, LOVE that '63 Dodge wagon!!! *NM*
Yeah...we really need one in styrene! *NM*
This is the best edition of Miscellaneous Mopar Madness that you've ever posted. They're all great, but I see 4 absolutely must haves for me !! Thanks for posting Bill. *NM*
Great stuff! Thanks for posting. *NM*
Something about that Magnum I really like. *NM*
Me too. I think it's the monotone paint, no stripes, or vinyl tops. Just serious. And the deep dish Minilite wheels don't hurt either. *NM*
Re: Miscellaneous Mopar MadnessStill have my 1978 Magnum GT sitting in my garage. *PICS* *NM*
Opps, don't have pics. *NM*
Oh, that black Plymouth.... *NM*
Thanks Bill!! *NM*
That green '69 Bee with the white painted top really floats my boat!!! *NM*
In the late 1980s I worked inspecting construction sites as a summer job, and the inspector I worked for had bought one of the '77 Charger Daytonas off the showroom. By then it was getting tired but still serviceable and he offered it to me for $500. *PIC*
BAD BOSSA NOVA.... Off the bench and answers some questions that may be out there. PIX and thanks for looking
Man,that's one bad bossa nova. Nice job. *NM*
Exactly what this board is best at - inspiring, apolitical, attainable, affordable. Kudos on the build! *NM*
Too cool! Now I need to go get a Moebius gasser Nova! *NM*
Is the 66 nova chassis more modern verses the mobius kit? *NM*
Well for one I'd like to build the other version... Plus look at the underneath picture especially and the other pictures here and you see what I'm talking about. Just way to many questions.
I had the same idea
Nice builds. *NM*
Nice builds *NM*
Nice clean build. *NM*
Nice work on yours, Frank- it looks great! *NM*
Frank, great job on you BBN. *NM*
What year was that Challenger? *NM*
Was a '72. It can be seen in it's restored state, Petty blue with #74. Prior to restoration it wore a Mirada body. *NM*
Anyone heard when the Moebius Ford truck with the wrecker bed might be coming out? *NM*
I think if I remember correctly it is already out. I wasn't interested but I thought I saw that when I picked up my Demon. *NM*
There are no set dates at this time, so it is still a way's out *NM*
Wonder what happened to the wrecker as well as the other modified pickups they showed early last year. *NM*
I may have the article from the magazine. Is that what you are looking for? *NM*
No this waa ViperDave's in depth posts and images from the restoration. I have several of the magazine articles. *NM*
