• I went to the Shutterbug model show and swap today in Portland IN. Saw Len Carsner. Congrats on your win Len ! I took a little over 200 pics so it's going to take me awhile to import them and fix them for posting. Prob won't get it all posted until sometime tomorrow. *NM*

    • I did not. Took me an hour just to get tires on wheels, because I forgot to put tires in hot water. Don't tell Dave. Probably 2 hours. I also added some chrome on wheels, and behind tail lights, and inside rear view mirror. Fun little build, though. *NM*

  • Sorta feel if it were possible Polar Lights would have when they got the old aurora tools, like they did with the Green Hornet and TV show Batmobile kits, so thinking tools no longer around/avail to do so-others may have more info on that tho *NM*

    • Polar Lights didn't use Aurora molds. They reverse engineering new mold based on the kits.
      • Ahhh, hadnt heard they reverse engineered them just recalled they reissued them with same box art but with the polar lights logo instead so took it to be they were cast from the original molds *NM*
  • Not plastic, but there is a card stock one that I think is around 1/20. *NM* *LINK*
  • Monogram ended up with all of the Aurora molds, and scrapped most of them. If the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang mold still exists (doubtful, but possible) Atlantis would have it. *NM*

• IMO, toss the AMT and use Streaker Vette for the interior - many parts swap back and forth between the two *NM*
  • Problem is, the Streaker Vette has a 64 interior. Ironic, as the MPC annual kits all had the correct interiors. 67 tub might have been lost to the Cosma Ray. *NM*

            • The resin's rear windows are too small if you are going for stock, but you already knew that, too. I was just musing over it last night and thought I might as well post some of it. I am sure if you decided to go stock you would pick up on all that. It is a beautiful car. *NM*

  • The proportions seem to be a little off. Looks like the raised section of the camper is not deep enough to come back over the lower section to clear the back of the cab enough for access and the rear of the pickup seems too wide for its height. The composition and subject *PIC*
    • I have a vintage builtup with this box. The rear width does seem a bit off. To be fair, the model camper shell has proportion issues of its own. The bit over the cab is rather narrow in width for starters. I'd just cut it off. *NM*
      • The cap may have been designed for the AMT '69 Chevy Fleetside, so the fit could have been off a bit on the Ford. The new kit will be all new, so everything should fit better this time *NM*

    • I don't remember. Don Greer did a LOT of paintings for Squadron's military books. There ARE prints available for many of them. Heard a few stories about them , but I don't remember them. *NM*
