• Using your suggestion I did a google image search and found they are only in the Revell SnapTite VW NEW Beetle kit release with the flames on the box top art. The others have the stock wheels. Thanks for pointing the way! *NM*

    • I think those are USAF Mark 106 Inert Stores. aka Practice Bombs. Carried in the SUU-20 Bomb Dispenser, an Underwing Bomb/Rocket holder.

      • Circa 1966-67 my dad and I were bldg a 31 Caddy in that series and the body and fenders weren't playing nice... time past finally picked it up and he w/both hands took it twisted it in frustration. Last time we shared a model car. *NM*

    • Actually Bob, the Uni-body was 61-63. All F100s went separate cab and bed (with a raised roof crown) in 1964...

        • Yes, but with some work. But not for a flareside or cab and chassis (e.g. wrecker, ramp truck et al). The cab back is different (obvioulsly), but the character line in the doors is different as well....TB *NM*

  • This "fake box" was in a group with other model boxes that Model King conducted a poll on about 5 years ago for Mobius to do.We got the updated Grumpys Vega from Round 2, and the Ford ramp truck from Mobius that was in the group.

      • My understanding is that a measuring session was completed (a couple of decades ago, now) on the Power Wagon. And that Dart ProStock was originally planned as an extension of the Revell mid-1970's drag racing kit catalog (see my book for more on this). Would be great to...
