- Early ones had two-piece tires that weren't really vinyl or hard plastic. Recent issues have solid one-piece tires *NM*
- I've got the 2002 Issue, kit # 2377 from the Tuner Series, it has hollow, no name vinyl tyres with what I would call chromed 4spoke "minilight" style wheels.......dunno if this helps. *NM*

- How do you open a shrinkwraped kit?..just watched some tube videos & the guys just cut the bottom edge of the wrap & threw it away..duh!..I cut from bottom corner to the opposite corner twice then lift the box top & fold the wrap inside & tape it,still looks unopened...
- I cut the shrink wrap on the bottom while keeping the rest of the shrink wrap intact around the box. Then, I place the bottom square of the shrink wrap that I cut out inside the box. It fits perfectly. The only problem that you might have…..

- I have a weird system/method to my madness: I slice the wrap along the bottom, tuck the plastic in the box IF ......
- I'm old school, Find the seam, and pick at it with my fingernail just like when I was 12! if it has stickers on the wrap, I try to peal them off and then stick them onto the box. *NM*

- I used it on an old Johan Eldorado snap kit and it ruined it. I didn’t soak it, just brushed it on heavily and let it sit. *NM*
- I've been using it the same way as you for years--works fine, CD. Read that it doesn't like some resins, though. Keep mine in an air-tight, food storage plastic container--lasts a very long time. *NM*
- Don't soak - brush it on and let it work a few minutes, you will start to see it loosen up

- We did it a few times (1970s). The drive-ins kind of stopped it by employing some "ushers" that tried to keep an eye on things once people parked. *NM*

- I haven't had good luck using resin bodies for any project. I have a Jimmy Flintstone awb body that I'm wanting to build. Would washing it in Dawn dish soap be a good cleaning agent? Or should I use something like Simple Green? Other good suggestions? *NM*
- Do NOT use Simple Green on resin!!! My experience is that it will turn it rubbery.... With Flintstone's stuff I've had great success with a wash in Dawn, followed by a wipe down with plain old lacquer thinner. *NM*
- I haven't built much resin. But when I have, I cleaned them with Comet cleanser and a toothbrush. *NM*
- I truly have never understood the problem with washing kits. Plastic or resin, I just give a quick wash with liquid hand soap or shampoo (I wash 'em in a bathroom sink), never any kind of paint problem, any kind of problem. *NM*
- I don't know if JF uses a parting compound or spray - my suggestion
- The trick is washing and rinsing in water hot enough to do the job w/o being too hot and warping the resin. *NM*

- Or google something called "Close to my Heart" Liquid Glass. Good stuff, it mostly disappears when dry. *NM*

- So much coolness in one post!!!! My favorite is the Super Stock Magazine Project Maverick... I saw that car at the Manufacturers Meeting at Rockford (Byron) Dragway, back around 1975.... The car had a habit of launching so hard that all four wheels would be off the pavement.

- The wheels on the Vega are likely from the 510 sedan kit. I have a set that are probably from the Z that are two different widths (never had the kit, just found the wheels by themselves) *NM*
