- I love all the positive discussion surrounding the Modified Stocker line, by the way. So often they are caught up in negative posts grieving about what was lost in modifying these tools. Yet they have survived all these years and are still selling. Thanks for the posts! *NM*

- Too little, too late. The 80s and 90s generation were already sold out on video games and the time to have started tooling good domestic kits (read: big box available) of the Euro and Asian cars they wanted 1:1s of would have been years earlier *NM*
- I wouldn't go all-in on that...both AMT and Revell issued kits connected with those movies, many of which were created because of them *NM*

- I like it! Around here they usually didn’t run the big cars but there were some low buck racers built from them. Lots more “run what ya brung” back in those days. So not out of the realm of possibility.
- Depending on the track, they raced pretty much anything. I've got a CD of period photos from the track in my area, some guy ran a first-gen Buick Riviera *NM*

- They are what they are. The alterations were probably done thinking "one more hit, then off to the scrap heap" but ironically, eight of the nine kits survive to this day *NM*

- I was curious about that. I recall looking at one of the “newer” Torino bodies (about 10-15 yrs ago) and noting the shadow of the repaired wheel arches on the inside of the body. I figured that the Torino would never be released as the MS again, but there it was… *NM*
- Re: Eight of the nine… and the 53 Ford pickup and trailer. I'm only missing the GTO, 64 Galaxie, and the Chevelle, the "Shovelle" is on the shelf at the LHS, might nab it next week. *NM*
