Okay - just checked

'80 TA and '70 TA use the same long block and TH trans, a tiny bit of a foul - the trans is the TH350 and not the TH400.

Upper engine accessories differ - high rise Pontiac style in the '70, lo-rise "one holer" in the '80 (plus the turbo plumbing.)

In 1:1 - the difference in the deck height was 10.25 roughly for the standard engines, v. 9.13 or so for the low-deck 303/301/265/etc.

Imma say that 1/25th of an inch (0.040) isn't worth the chase, but if you wanted to shim it be my guest.

Other than the top of the side windows looking a touch flat, and a bit of extra taper in the grille shell profile, that '70 is a nice kit. Overdue to get after mine!
