The Woodward Cruise has largely become a new car showroom - we are on the other side of the state now and I doubt I'll travel for it

Organizers are between a rock and a hard place - if they cut off entries by a certain year (pick 'em) they make the show smaller even if they are a little more 'pure' in terms of the vintage.

Mustang Alley at the WC has turned into a Ford showroom - show organization has to do a better job of curating the entries. There might have been one vintage Mustang for every dozen late models.

Sad truth is, older guys just don't turn out as much or as often. The genuinely interesting and valuable cars come and go on trailers, any more. Once it was a badge of honor to load up your vintage CJ and make it to a meet on your own, now they are all bubble-wrapped.

Coffee cruises are much better, spectators are more interested and interesting, peers are less judgy.
