Well, maybe a thought for you: The AMT '69 Cougar chassis is practically a drop fit in the early Falcon/Comet/Ranchero

Pics are somewhere on the old computer, but, just knock the tops of the rear wheelwells off, and open up the hood. Get the firewall and core support from the Ranchero, and boom. You are in business.

There are more accurate solutions out there, but for a build where you are not among rivet pickers, it's fine, and you can throw any durn engine in there you want.
