1960 Ford F100...update
That looks good, but I sure wish it was a short bed. *NM*
If the resin industry does not have a solution soon, I would be very surprised. Or, just get out the saw and have at it...
Precision measuring and cuts, years ago watched Frank and others at build n bull meet ups, dont be afraid they say its only plastic , order and extra kit! *NM*
Watching Frank is like watching a surgeon work.... Everything so precise! He, 's right though. It's only plastic and was meant to be cut up. 😁 *NM*
"No Fear Of the Saw! " *NM*
Absolutely! *NM*
The little orange zona miterbox really helped when I made the cuts on my unibody. *NM*
So, which aftermarket vendor will be first to provide us with '57, '58, '59 grilles? *NM*
Also, with the new separate cab/bed it will be VERY EASY to create a '60 step-side. *NM*
The flare sides were the same from around 1950 to 1972 I believe --- *PIC*
Hot Rod magazine said in 1980 (road test of a new F-150 Flareside) that the stepside box was the same back to '56 (or did I misremember it, and they said '53?) *NM*
At some point (mid-Seventies?) the top rail of the bed changed from a 45 degree angle to 90 degrees *NM*
My first thought for a stepside bed was the AMT '53. I have many because the '53 is one of my favorite kits. *NM*
Trucks burst back on the scene about the time that cars went "plop" - Ford and Chevy were quick to exploit
Along about 1973, when the rear axle grew wider by four inches, Ford realized that the flareside box they'd used since '53 was now too narrow. Therefore no flareside box was offered til '76, when someone came up with the idea of shortening the wider 8' box. More info... *NM* *LINK*
Many thanks for digging this out and posting!!!! *NM*
Picked up the latest NPD Catalog for '48-79 Ford Truck - was shocked to see how many parts are still listed
Let me look in my resin box.... *NM*

Upon googling it, I see examples with two different hoods....so who knows? *NM*
Looks like they share a hood and the '59/'60 share one as well. Good visuals here... *NM* *LINK*
Thank you for sharing! *NM*
