Back when I was a highschool freshman, I had an older buddy from the next town over, who had a '56 Chevy sedan, that had a teardrop scoop. It was an old drag car (gasser), with a full glass tilt front that had the scoop molded in by the maker....
He would stop by from time to time, to visit and borrow tools from my Dad. We would also go cruising around and look for the occasional street race.... As a matter of fact, it was him that introduced me to the 23rd Avenue (Moline) cruising scene.
