Was the Long Nose its own set of slides and (obviously) different core?

A model friend hooked me up with an unpainted Long Nose body, and dang if the back half doesn't have the look/feel of the annual - chrome tree suggesting same.

Would not be rocket surgery to re-purpose parts of the tool to make the FC, then plow ahead with the '70 Mach.

I plotzed my 'builder' boxes for the '69 and '70 kit reference. The '70 was the rougher of the two, so contents aren't a perfect representation.

But everything pops together nicely, looks like the annual's molded-to -chassis pans will be a challenge if I ever get around to the build.
