Eclipse images

Using my father's 1901 C. L. Berger surveyor's transit I got these images of the eclipse today. An old trick we used when determining the latitude and longitude of the sun as part of my surveying class back in 1966. (You don't look into the telescope to find the sun if you don't want to burn out your eye.) Interesting to note that as time went on the image rotated as the moon's transit was in a diagonal line from upper right to lower left. We did not get a total eclipse in SE Mass.
