then you don't want to have a mechanical issue and they don't cover it because you refused a service they recommended.

Just my thought.

My wife and I have a new 23 Jeep (that she primarily drives) and with all the new tech stuff (car manufacturers force on you) I would probably do it.

(does the owners manual recommend it? Or just the dealer selling something?)

It's really a tough call.
