Am I dreaming to remember Aero Gloss rubbing compound being a part of the story?

Someplace I have a jar of Pactra Aero Gloss aluminum, which was a thing for large-scale natural metal aircraft (I still have a jones for big bombers and century series fighters) before Bare Metal and the galaxy of metallizer type finishes were available.

Alas, the planes still sit on the shelf.
