Monogram had it nailed with the Tom Daniel kits...main color was molded in. Mom, Grandma, or Auntie could stop at K-Mart, pick up a kit, grab the $1.19 Testors paint pack with the six or seven bottles of paint, a cheap brush, thinner, and a tube of glue. Instant birthday present...
