Wow, That's 57 Years ago. The motor was a 396 chevy modified from the first Corvette kit to include the rat-style big block. The NHRA modified sports classes later became part of the Gasser classes.
The model was protected in a display case and while I'd want to do more detail now-a-days, I'll just leave it exactly as it was done. It was painted using the then new AMT lacquer
