• For anyone here that has or intends to get any of the Oz Holden & Falcon plastic kits,after speaking to DDA here in Oz they confirmed that the plastic in their kits is ABS plastic & normal styrene glue is not recommended,superglue or Tamiya ABS glue is fine. *NM*

  • I quit going to a lot of outdoor car shows when the "used cars" started showing up. If I saw one on a car lot or in a parking lot while driving to the show, I don't need to see one at the show *NM*

• I have Hoosier radial GT's on my RR, they are a regular street tire(not a soft compound) from 30 years ago. they have a narrow white lettering kinda like a BFG but in the Hoosier font *NM*

    • Marc, inside your post you asked about the roadster on trailer. Probably just a build displayed on the table. Looks like it may have been sourced from AMT T219 c.1968. Those parts were in that kit. *NM*
      • That trailer is hitched to the '60 Ford F-100. Probably the trailer which comes with that kit. *NM*
      • Those 32 Roadster parts (except the Revell add-ons) originated in the 1964-65 2232 issue. *PIC*

  • Regarding the red '32 on the trailer....Steve's friend Cory Baas (I beleive I am remembering that correctly) brought some of his built Round 2 models to place on the table. I think the '32 was just intended to serve as a display prop for the pickup/trailer duo. *NM*
    • That makes sense... Upon closer inspection I see that those aren't the original Chrysler Fire Power valve covers but a set of Ardun heads - presumably from Revell's 1950 Ford F1 pickup...
      • Chris...you nailed it on the engine. Looks like a correct Ardun conversion (fan belt, distributor location) as well as the heads, and well done, too! *NM* *PIC*

    • He's right, the Coral Blue would be "close" for 65 and before. 66-70 is a silver blue metallic--should be able to find either an engine paint or a Duplicolor can that's close *NM*

      • That was built by my friend John Teresi, and I did the decals for it to match the real bike. In the model they couldn't use the Porsche name. I also did the decals for 3 of his other winners, the Guardian, ZZR Spy Rod & Throttle Demon. *PIC*
  • It was definately a kit, was listed in the Revell Germany catalog from 15 yrs or so ago, I ordered it but I think it was only available originally in Europe due to licencing. *NM*

  • The roof and doors, glass, and everything underneath is identical to the '68/'69 Darts. They'd need to make a (mostly) new interior, front & rear fenders & grille/taillights. That's about it. *NM*

    • From their website, the ambulance body of the Ecto model appears to be made of ABS, and not diecast metal like I initally had thought. I'd bet if they had offered just the ambulance it would still be expensive. :-) *NM*
