- Franklin Mint Duesenberg Coupe' Simon story. *NM* *LINK*
- PIC I decided to paint the Falcons hood primer or flat black but before I did I decided to shoot it red just to see how it looks. Not too bad, now I am undecided again. I can still do flat black and then primer if I don't like the black. After primer I can do the white.

- Thank you so much, Matt & Dawn. Received the kit in great shape, and in 3 days!!! Been looking for that kit for a long time. Lookin' forward to my next shipment. Lulu enjoyed her treat also. Thanks again. *NM*
- Something you won't see very often. *PICS*
- Off the bench......PICS......
- Hey guys anyone have access to a 1971 NHRA rule book? Specifically the stock eliminator section. Thanks in advance. *NM*
- FSM just posted a build of the Coronet convertible - with the Cragar GT+4's - I didn't see them in my box, did I miss something? Source of the wheels was unclear to me... *NM*
- FSM newsletter shows stripping chrome with Liquid Plumber. Doesn't say if it gets the lacquer undercoat though. Thoughts? (If it's safe for PVC, wouldn't it NOT affect the Lacquer??) *NM*
- Your modeling motivation is inspiring to this slacker *NM*
- Good customer service *NM*
- Opinions needed. PICs I'm close to finishing this build and I notice that I didn't put the final coat of white on the hood. I ran out of the Racing White and I don't use that color very often. So my question is, do I buy a new can of paint that is going to set around...
- The color looks like Wimbledon White and it looks nice and even (at least in the picture) I'd leave it. *NM*
- Race cars got "field repairs" so I'd just leave it. Once the car is lettered, I bet no one would even notice. *NM*
- Just an idea... Maybe a red hood, roof, and top of body starting at top edge of the fenders. That way you'd have a hard separation line. Plus it'll pull the red from the spear. *NM*
- Flat Black hood with a couple hood pins might be a nice look. *NM*
- I would probably do flat black Terry. Most fiberglass hoods back then were flat black from the factory. *NM*
- Well, if it's budget driven, yes paint it red, but honestly, IMHO, it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb. buy the white and build a 66 Mustang! : ) *NM*
- Re: Opinions needed. My Choices: 1st-Flat Black Primer. 2nd- Red, to play off the pinstripe. *NM*
- Nice looking! *NM*
- Use a primer gray hood with hood pins as others had said. *NM*
- I would leave it, race cars that are raced are far from perfect, when you get an "accidental" issue like this, go with it! *NM*
- Agreed. When my two "rug rats" asked their mother, "What's dad doin' in the basement"? Her reply? "Playin' toys"!! True story. And I'm STILL "playin' toys"!! L.O.L. Oh, and my "rug rats"? They're 60 and 58 yrs. old now. *NM*
- Thia is the first time I've seen this vehicle. Supposedly a protype vehicle. Anyone knew of this car or seen it before? Read the sign in the first picture. *PIC*
- Anyone have an idea how well Revell sold their 1983 and 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass kits? *NM*
- A little more progress on my '68 Coronet. *PIC*
- Did the Revell 1977 Monte Carlo in any version sell well? I wondering, if it was a good seller, maybe, just maybe, there's a chance for another 1973-1977 GM A body. I'd especially like to have a 1973-1977 Grand Prix. And all the others of course. *NM*
- Ya know those Lindberg Buick Century snap kits that are so-called "1/32" scale? I've been collecting them in diff colors. I just picked up a blue one. Now I have 3 colors. Did they come in any other colors than what I have so far? Thanks............*PIC* ......
- A couple progress pics of my '54 Hudson Hornet project.
- Visiting bmf website. Anyone try their decal paper? *NM*
- *RANT*I have a brand new sheet of bmf (yes, I bought it like 3 years ago) stored upright and flat. Went to use it... *I'm actually posting a pic with a project*
- Anyone hear of, seen, or have the Micro-Mark Brush Cam? It works through bluetooth to your smart phone. It looks extremely useful for figure painting. I could see using it for detail painting almost anything. Of course, you have to supply the steady hand. *NM*
- Another survey. How do you mix your bottled paints. Stir stick, shaking the bottle, etc.? *NM*
- When I was in my 20s, all I did was shake those enamel paint bottles from Testors. I never had any problems then. Nowadays, I must've wore out my luck. LOL! *NM*
- I use a battery powered mixer I bought from MicroMark. *NM*
- Stir. Especially metallics and 'metal' colors. *NM*
- When I airbrush, I use the mini paint shaker. For brush painting small parts or areas, I put a couple BB's in the paint bottle. *NM*
- I use both Testors bottle & Humbrol can paints, I have a 4" long nail that I use to mix/stir paint with, shaking is a waste of time. *NM*
- I stir bottle paint with small, thin craft sticks. Shaking can introduce air bubbles that'll show up when you brush the paint. (Now watch all the shakers state they've never had that happen...) *NM*
- I use a short piece of sprue put in the bottle, might have to stir first if the bottle has set a long time. *NM*
- Re: Another survey. How do you mix your bottled paints. Stir stick, shaking the bottle, etc.? *PIC*
- Survey of sorts. How do you store your bottled paint? Upright or upside down? *PIC*
- Where are the molds for the old JD 4430, 310, and IH 1466??
- I am home now I hope to stay
- Most OT thing ever posted, but there are a good number of military builders here: Was/is there a good F2G Corsair (the pylon racing superstar?)
- Weather may be breaking I can get going on my F/C collection/recovery finished... The frames are done but the bodies have to be decaled or painted. I'm not forgetting my current projects I'm still on them. PIX and thanks for looking
- I agree. As long as the kits(AMT'S 1.25), had a ton of decals, who cares about some dumb oil filter or master cylinder? Huh, huh? L.O.L. *NM*
- Well, due to WW II vehicles being mainly limited to military equipment or Packard staff cars, maybe we could consider Olds 442s to be 42s or 44s? I know there are a bunch of them among you guys. I would especially like to see your '66s and '67s. There will be lots of

- Question about the Revell Caddy parts pack kit. What types of induction does it come with? *NM*
- Anal Andy with another question....what colour is the inside of the body on the Dyno Don 68 Mercury F/c, being a fibreglass body I'm thinking a pale yellow/beige or maybe flat black, the sheetmetal is alloy sheet colour. *NM*
- Great weathering! *NM*
- I grabbed Rat Packer when it got reissued because it was one of those kits you heard about but was long gone. Rustic, lol? Sure. But very cool *NM*
- Hey all love your 40, 41, 42 and 43 postings. They are all great builds. I have only one and a few days late but here is my only 41... 5 pics been seen before.
- My 43's for 4/3. ............... PICS* .......
- If you are building the new '68 Coronet kit, HAVE FUN detailing the rear tail light panel !!! *NM*
- Just checked, you are 100% correct. I'm a little surprised that GM would pop for the paint vs a panel *NM*
- Trying my hand at printing some simple decals. I know I should overcoat them, but with what? Enamel, lacquer, etc.? *NM*
- Did this Cobra come with the 'kidney bean' type Halibrands from the first and white box issues?? *NM*
- Some excellent vintage vehicles. *NM* *LINK*
- Re: BUSY, BUSY....For me at least this is where I get thrown off the rails, one thing leads to another. This all happen because I was waiting for projects to gas out. Try to follow cause I can't it just happens. PIX and thanks for looking
- good guy shout out to Bob Kramer. Thank You sir! *NM*
- Heck, the original Chevrolet (SBC) 265 had optional dealer installed oil filter. Do you really need an oil filter for 1/4 mile drive? *NM*
- Totally agree. *NM*
- Meant to post this yesterday. My 42 Ford builds *LINK* *PIC*
- Most of those parts, in the pre-plastic era, were stamped out of shiny aluminum sheet, bent up as needed, clear anodized, and then painted with "argent" lacquer and/of flat black, and that wa it. They had elaborate rubber, reuseable, masks that were made for high production.
- Hey Frank, I'm glad I wasn't the only person to buy that Californian! Overall I see some Javelin in the overall shape but the details are butt ugly for sure!
- 1942 to 1945 is kind of tough because car production essentially ceased during WWII. But there are vehicles. Here's a sample...*PICS*
- Or could Imagineer that it has a remote placement of the filter for ease of access *NM*
- :-) *NM* *PIC*
