- When entering a car model in box stock class at a show, is it advantageous to put a mirror underneath of it? I barely see a handful of people do that......if at all. Thanks. *NM*
- If the judges pick up the models I don't think it helps and if they don't, then they shouldn't be giving the ones on stands extra credit. I see the advantage in that if they do pick up the models then they don't have to pick those up and the only advantage is they aren't
- I use an elevated stand with a mirror tilted at a 45 degree angle beneath . This gives the judges a full unobstructed view and discouraged handling . I have received many positive comments from judges concerning this IF you have a detailed chassis, *NM*
- Going to a show this weekend? *NM*
- It IS an idea to provide the kit instructions with the box stock build, at one big show, I didn't and was disqualified because of that! AND it was the only box stock I ever built, never again, LOL I just can't build box stock, I'm a hacker, chopper, whatever, I love being..
- Not all shows allow any kind of base (unless it's a diorama) I recommend checking to be sure. *NM*
- Scott, some show do not allow that and ours is one of them. *NM*
- My personal feeling on the subject.... I REALLY wish folks would leave the mirrors at home... I mean I get why they use them , but when trying to get a decent pic of a model, I hate them.... They really mess with the lighting.
- Finished PICs Why, why, why at the last possible minute does something have to go wrong. Superglue on the grill and front bumper somehow ends up on the palm of my hand and then onto the roof. I don't think I am even going to try to fit it.
