  • Thank you ! I know the AMT Fairlane (GTA and 427 one) those are different but I wasn't sure about the Galaxies. :-) *NM*
    • The two Fairlanes have a bunch of different parts in the two versions, but the main parts in those (body, chassis, suspension) are the same in both *NM*

        • Bruce...I think they are referring to the 1990's 67 Fairlane/Mercury kits...your pic I think shows the Dyno Don Comet(which I recently built) or similar I think.......I could be wrong tho'.....my 1990's AMT 427 67 Fairlane uses a straight non "promo" radiator panel. *NM*

              • Just to plus it up if the opportunity strikes: the '90's promo release of the Fairlane has a corrected roof with proper f/r window openings

          • My thought, too - but I'm not recalling steerable fronts in the Galaxies... maybe the '69 T-Bird annual (before the FC?)
            • Nope, that generation Thunderbird did have separate uprights but the steering arms were attached to the lower suspension arms. You "could" make them poseable with a bit of work but it's not how it came in the kit. *NM*
              • I just looked at the '65 model I built vs a new '65 kit. Looks like I DID cut up that chassis in order to remove the molded-in exhaust system. Could have done a better job on replicating the floorboards, but it was around 1980 when I built it. *NM*
                • Might be '65 up front, it's something else from the firewall back. '65 kit has separate fuel tank, and the trunk floor was a separate piece too *NM*
            • The annual 69 Tbird did have separate uprights (kingpins) that were to be glued in place. They could be glued to a "posed" position, which I did on the one I built a couple of years ago; just had to get the front wheels reasonably parallel. *PICS*
