• Has anyone used a Model Car Garage photoetch set on a build? Did you use the whole set or just parts of it? Was it easy enough to use? Do you use epoxy to attach the pieces? *NM*

    • There's always exreas on an MCG PE set. I glue them on with clear lacquer or JudiKins Diamond Glaze cement got on Amazon. Less chance to fog the paint. *NM*

  • Don't even TRY to use all the parts. Many are unnecessary and are not even as good as the kit parts . Scripts and other tiny details are what I'd normally use. Adhere with some clear paint. I usually clear over any BMF and the scripts, so that will keep them from
    • I look at the gorgeous grilles for the early '60s cars... even the interior trim for the '62 Thunderbird and think, "how the heck am I going to do this?"
      • Most of the grilles I wouldn't even think of using because they're just flat and don't have any depth to them and just look toylike. But there are some that I would use , , , *PIC*
  • I've used MCG parts lots of times, most recently the grille for the AMT old-tool '57 Belair...And yes, I use 5-minute epoxy to attach them. *PIC*
  • I've used several. Epoxy is the best way to secure bigger items. They have such a wide assortment of photoetch there is plenty to choose from. *NM*
