Looking through the back issues of SAE magazine available from Spotlight is quite the trip down memory lane.... This is particular issue changed my life as a modeler.... *PIC*
For me, it was finding the June '92 issue at a newsstand, then anxiously waiting for the next few issues to arrive before I saved up for a subscription. Will never forget those first few issues I bought. *NM*
I found some old SAEs at a Half-Price Books back in the summer of '83, then found a LHS in Austin, Texas that had the new one. *NM*
My 1st issue of SAE would have been in the early 80's, changed my life to the extent that after leaving my 25 yrs public service job I opened & ran my own hobby shop specialising in plastic car, truck & plane kits plus resin conversions for 20yrs till 2016, was a fun time. *NM*
Great news! Y'know... 10 years ago I wouldn't have dreamed that this would be possible. Many thanks to Steve G. and the other good people at Round2 for making it happen. *NM*
Great to see those old SAEs available again. Issue 27 (shot on the east shoreline of Foster City, CA looking into the San Mateo bay) and issue #57, (shot on the deck of my then home in East Cobb, GA) are two of my all-time favorite covers...check 'em out. (see below)..
Yes, these were left from Gary's personal stash. Linda was going to send them to be recycled, but we purchased them instead. Quantities vary, some are very limited. *NM*
