I'll bet you're right, Dave.....and thinking about those staff cars, it would be neat if a GOOD resin caster put out a '41 Ford Fordor. *NM*

Why the heck not? They've already got the drawings, and presumably a master

Made sometime between '41 and '45.....pics.....
I read that story many years ago, and I always wondered......where would that guy get a Ford flathead V8? *NM*
My guess would be that he pulled it out of a wrecked '40ish Ford used as a commanders car. *NM*
There were TONS of flathead V8s on earth before, during, and after the war. *NM*
But in Korea? *NM*
In trucks *NM*
Seems to me,from what I've seen, the army used mostly GM stuff. *NM*
Korea? I thought we were referring to WW II. *NM*
The story was during the Korean war. But, as you know, Ford didn't phase out the flathead in passenger cars until '54. *NM*
'55 in Canada, Australia, and probably South Africa too. The French were making new ones into the Eighties, for military vehicles *NM*
David's original post & photos referenced '41-'45. The "story" referenced Korea. My remark about TONS of primarily Ford V8 flatheads referenced '32 'til after Korean conflict. *NM*

Agreed, a 1/24-25 4dr would be a good seller in Oz. *NM*
You did good David!! *NM*
Ya know Dave, looking again at that pic of the jeep with the hood off, that G.I. in Korea was pretty talented to make that radiator to fit a flathead. *NM*
David....that is a very cool model! TB *NM*
