Good evening guys, I have a new project to get started on soon.
The AMT '34 Ford street rod coupe has a nice SBC if I recall correctly, and AMT's 1955 Chevy street machine stepside pickup has those headers. *NM*
AMT's 34 Coupe has the SBC,1970 Coronet Pro Street has the Lynx air cleaners x2, Testors Smoothster/Van/Coupe have a set of block huggers also, Revell 32 Rdstr has the 6 gage dash. *NM*
Thanks for the details Andy! I'll have to spend some time digging through my kits for some of those parts. *NM*
MPC 67 Corvette also has the Lynx air cleaners. *NM*
Thanks Dave. I found some in one of my kits and now I don't recall which one it was. *NM*
Sweet ride!! I wish you the best of luck with this build. *NM*
The engine looks like the 327 out of the AMT 66 Nova, including the valve covers. Not sure about a source for the valve cover decals *NM*
That decal indicates a Corvette L-79 327. I'd run the # on the block before I'd believe that seeing those cheap generic valve covers. I think there's about 10 times more "Corvette 327" engines out there now then GM ever made. , But you never know. *NM*
Re: Seems that Hot Rod magazine built its editorial package in the '60s and '80s with street rods with "Corvette engines"...
I think he told me it's a 305 but he just put the 327 decals on it. *NM*
Every SBC for sale is "from a Corvette", just like every Ford Y-block is a "Thunderbird" engine, and every Chevy inline six is a "292". Also, ALL Sixties midsize Pontiac parts are from a GTO *NM*
Ha! I hear ya there Mark! There was someone selling a six cylinder Chevy engine from a kit, calling it a 250 but it looks like the engine from the '50 Chevy pickup. Definitely not a 250 but maybe some people aren't that particular when it comes to their modeling. *NM*
Well, aside from the decal, it's a very cool car. What I would use for the engine and how I'd do the flames, Bob , ,
Thanks for the tips Steve! I will look around a bit to see what I still need and get started soon! *NM*

Very tempting but I'm afraid I wouldn't get them in time to have the model done by May1st. *NM*
The gas peadle is in one of Cobra kits I think 289.. *NM*
