...one of the Petersen Publishing Ford books covered that. All of the cars with them that turned up were two-door sedans, and were all in the Pacific Northwest. The skirtless fenders probably all got made at, or shipped to, one assembly plant. Ford used all of the parts they made; if they became obsolete or were made illegal here, they got shipped off to the export territories...
