If the '71 new tool Duster is like other contemporaneous kits with fixed side panels, just glue the core support and firewall at the vertical contact points ONLY - do not glue to bodysides.

This will align all the parts, but be easily removed with a broken tip xacto by scoring a line along the fender flange.

Much easier to do than to explain!
