I was wondering the same thing. Seems counterintuitive to me. Could somebody explain it to me/us, please? *NM*
The truckload needs to be delivered early in the morning, and there's no motel near the worksite, so the driver team delivers it overnight, and sleeps in the truck until morning? *NM*

Yessir. Based in west-central alberta... do everything from oilfield to construction to environmental cleanup. Lotsa work in the boonies. Cool project, Tim! *NM*
I kinda thought distance & no lodgings might be the reason. Thanks, folks, for clearing it up. *NM*
You can't legally log off duty or sleeper berth time in a day cab. In other words you can't count against your reset in a day cab. *NM*
