Vintage Workbench - The Year in Plastic - 2023
Nice work Dave.........especially like the T Bucket & Coupe...has anyone built the bucket without the metal front axle & found a way to add strength to the axle assembly, I normally don't mind metal axles but that ones in such a prominent spot, maybe I'm too anal....lol. *NM*
On dropped axles such as that, I usually glue stubby plastic axles on each side that don't go all the way across...and I've never had any problems with axle strength. *NM*
Thanks for the info Jim, I've done a similar thing but was curious about what others may have done.....thanks. *NM*
They sometimes look a bit flimsey but I've never had a problem. They're strong enough to hold up the small ammount of weight that's on them. , , , Don't know if I'd trust a resin one over time though. *NM*
That '36 is beautiful!!! And the T-bird is so sweet. What is the color? I like the matching top better. *NM*
Thank you! The T-bird is Model Master Dark Bronze cleared with Testors High Gloss Clear enamel. Both discontinued. *NM*
Wow!! *NM*
I like that T-Bird…very nice! What are those blue things around the windshield frame? *NM*
That's Fun-Tak. The T-bird is still in mock-up stage. The Fun-Tak temporarily holds things together without glue. *NM*
Very nice ! I really like that Thunderbird :-) *NM*
I love the old Monogram 1/24 builds.......I have collected all the original issues! *NM*
that is a great collection of vintage models. Well done on all. craig cochran *NM*
The T-Bird is great - R2 should look at that as an enhancement for the kit
They all look fantastic, Dave. *NM*
