I do not know if you're working from pics of an existing facility or how much more building you plan on, but I am guessing OSHA and/or the workers union would require handrails on both sides of the staircase and depending on its upper level platform usage perhaps there, too? *NM*
It is a facility built in early 1950's.........
Yep, times have changed regarding safety requirements... Sometimes to the extreme but even with all those requirements sometimes doofuses manage somehow to hurt themselves or others. ;^) *NM*
