  • Revell's '31 Ford Tudor. Back when I was building Rat Rods, it was the first and only kit I chopped the top and it came out pretty good. Built 7 of 'em, sold 'em about 6 or 7 years ago. Have 5 kits in my stash, 2 half built. I'm still debating with myself on building my .

  • Monogram Lil Coffin rekindles fond memories simply because its colour & stance, tho' the Big Deuce still makes me smile, gloss black, yellow & cream upholstery...the quintessential hot rod or maybe the Ala Kart...choices, choices...lol. *NM*
  • AMT 1965 Ford Galaxie. I like the car; the kit goes together well and I think one of the best detailed and overall accurate of the AMT annuals. *NM*
  • Any of the Monogram NASCAR kits from the 1980s. *PIC*
  • I have 2...both AMT...any of the 40 Fords and the 49 Ford. I like them because thre is so much you can do with any of them...and they are easy enough that it doesn't take q year to build. (exceot I DO have one that has been sitting for 3 years or more! oops,,have a 40 ANDa *NM*

  • AMT 1966 Fairlane. Because my first car was a Fairlane but it's also a very good kit. I probably have 5 unbuilt ones currently. but I have built many of them in my life. *NM*
  • I'd have to say the Monogram 1/24 Shelby Cobra and the Revell/Monogram Chevy S-10 - I guess I've just always liked both! *NM*

  • Recently, the MPC 1980 Volare Roadrunner. It just went well for me.
  • I built the MPC '63 Corvette split window in 1/16, and dang was that an easy kit to get together, and looked great in the bargain
    • Would love to see them re-issue this kit with ALL the extra parts. *NM*
    • Re color combo: I am not generally a fan of white for cars, but this magazine ad I saw way back when is for a '64 coupe with a luxurious setting that really showed it as not just a sports car, but a stylish desirable beauty, too. *PIC*
      • Mitchell was firm in his decree: a Corvette had to look as good at the valet stand in front of the nightclub as it did at the drive in or dragstrip *LINK*
        • Bill Mitchell said that the C4 looked like a potato. In many ways, he is right. GM designs at the time were very conservative due to Irv Rybiki’s unwillingness to challenge the status quo at GM. The designs, although attractive, were very conservative under his tenure. *NM*
          • C4 was right for the times in '83...hung on a few years too long though. Not my thing, but they do have a following *NM*
            • It was great design for the time. I think with Mitchell in charge, we might’ve seen a little more fender curve. Even back then, I thought it should’ve had a tiny bit more swoop to the rear fender curve. Just a nitpick I suppose. *NM*

                • The 3rd gen F-body is my favorite too. Yeah, the bustle-back ‘80-‘85 Seville was controversial, but his gorgeous ‘79-‘85 Eldorado made up for it. *NM*
