The wife and I were in need of small kitchen table and chairs for the apartment, so today we went to look at one that her sister had spotted at an area thrift store.... Long story short, we bought the table, BUT, more importantly, look what else I found,,,,
Good find...I once had that 454SS kit, but I traded it away. Wish I had never done that. Any chance of a re-release on that one?? *NM*
You can get one now, promo style, ‘92 fleet-side short bed. Just need the SS-454 decals. Like my questions below regarding the original tooling, AMT/Ertl never owned the OBS tooling so R2 had to clone up the OBS truck. Hopefully, the full detail kits will be coming. *NM*

Cool finds at a great price! BTW, I sent you an email that I forgot to mention. I also forgot to enter anything in the subject line. *NM*
Nothing better than thrift stores and antique malls !!! Great find Marty !!! *NM*
I left behind a Hubley 62 Ford wagon... it was missing the rear bumper/grille/taillights and the windows had been glued in quite hard... Still might go back for it though. *NM*
In all my years of hunting models in SoCal and AZ have never found a car model at a thrift store, did find a couple at a used book store in Tempe about 30 years ago. Antique malls out here will maybe have some diecasts and Mint stuff usually thrashed or overpriced *NM*
I spent the late ‘70’s, ‘80’s, ‘90’s and the early ‘00’s looking for old models thift stores and I never found a thing. It wasn’t until the internet got popular and that auction I began to acquire some good rebuilders. I did acquire a ‘73
I never looked for rebuilders that much - more unbuilt or barely started kits. The 2 I found at the used book store were 1962s with just a bit of water damage to the boxes. The one didn't look like it had even been opened which is what I want for factory stock. *NM*
Tons of 3D engine kits out there for a RamJet 454 Shivvalay *NM*
Karma works! *NM*
Here is my thrift store story...
I have had quite a bit of success finding vintage model cars at thrift shops, rummage sales, antique malls and, especially estate sales. scoring many decent rebuilders and even a couple of complete unbuilt kits over that past few years......
