Yes, "reducer" probably costs more but is probably more tailored to spraying. "Thinner" is more general purpose IMO *NM*

I too have used lacquer thinner in enamel paints which helps the enamel to dry quicker...but this is in 1:1 scale car painting, acetone/lacquer thinner on a plastic kit is you use thin,dry coats & think positive thoughts........lol. *NM*
Which revives the issue of a quality primer that is compatible with current styrenes...
