O/T" FORTY years ago today, July 25th 1983, was my first day at the academy in Springfield, ILL. training to be a State of ILL Correctional Officer. Long ago, far away!! *NM*

T. Jessee & Danno, I've talked to police officers anywhere from Alaska,to Alabama from L.A. to New York, and NOT A ONE, would trade jobs with me!! WHY, All we had was a radio and a set of keys! True story. *NM*

No wonder we have to be on our best behaviour............lol. *NM*
By the time you graduated from the IL academy, Boomer, I had been contributing long-term live-ins to the Colorado Department of Corrections, Collections, and Insurrections for a bunch of years! Congrats on your Anniversary! Hard to believe so many years/memories ago. *NM*
AND, 17 years of "Corrections" time, I was a State Licensed firearms instructor. WAY before Glock, Sig Sauer, and Tarus(SP?). *NM*
Congrats, Boomer! Lots of water under the bridge since then, eh? *NM*
