What kind / year of vehicle are we talking about ??? It has always been stated that you are better off having clean standard oil than dirty premium oil !!! I have been a Full Synthetic person from my early days with high performance sprots cars.......

.......Knock on wood (Or plastic simulated wood in our case)....I have never had an oil related failure or excessive buildup as long as I kept it changed and fresh. The best advice that I have is to use the recommended oil Viscosity and always use the BEST Oil filter possible (It does make a difference !!!). As long as you are changing it on a regular basis you should not encounter any problems !!!!
