What a great story! Thanks for posting it here.

I'm going to keep a copy of it.
Dennis still writes a model cars column in Collectible Automobile Magazine, and his model was featured on BMF packaging for many years. His model was built before my time (I was in my early teens, living in Poland), but even back then he sure build clean models! So he was the first one to discover that BMF works really well for model chrome trim? That probably explain his connection to BMF company and his model featured on the packaging (since as he mentions, BMF was originally developed as a natural l metal finish for model aircraft). I love that $1.80 price for BMF back then.

I also like to say that knowing the BMF's history makes me very proud to (as a BMF user) have my model chosen to be featured on the current BMF packaging.
