Got lucky several years ago landing the end of a Clopay brand matte black texture contact paper that was dead solid perfect for a traditional v-top. A few projects came out perfect, but now that the 80's are over, it is discontinued.

Current recco is to prep your 'seams' with evergreen, do your blending, then hit it with Rustoleum Black Texture finish. It's made to for your wrought iron lawn furniture, but has a very good texture to the finish that is pretty convincing. Overcoat with a semi-flat acrylic and you are solid gold.
