Like many things in life: "I'm not sure how this works, but it will be fun to try..."

A life lesson learned in the transition from Testors and Pactra to perfume and gasoline, the experimentation is rewarding.

If it could be sorted, a nailhead with FI was a fierce opponent and looked pretty dramatic on the street, esp. in the Ivo roadster pickup. I don't recall if Max Balchowsky ever applied it to his "Old Yaller" race cars, but FI would make the good parts of the Buick even better, and minimize the limitations.

Street operation would require the patience and zen of Mr. Miyagi to properly tune. But, in the wild days of the California hot rod movement, there was a lot of tribal knowledge circulating in the shops and streets. I doubt many builders would take a swing at a street system if they hadn't experienced FI on the track, and been at least somewhat familiar with the challenge.

So build on - imagination trumps practicality!
