• Anyone else think Revell needs to reissue their 1960 Impala? Then after that, their 1959 Impala. Just to be different, both as LOWRIDERS! *NM*

      • IMHO too much overlap with the Revell/Monogram versions, which are more detailed (and better proportioned IMHO) kits. The 1960 El Camino hasn't been around since... I dunno... sometime in the mid to late 1960s as a Craftsman style kit? The '60 Wagon would be nice also. *NM*
        • El Camino was never a Craftsman kit. Last out 1961, listed as a Styline kit for '62 but never appeared *NM*
          • Thanks for clearing that up. I have a builtup stashed away somewhere and I thought it had a closed hood… so I thought Craftsman, just a guess and obviously wrong. :-) *NM*
            • The 60 El Camino always had a closed hood. I do agree that it would make a great cloning project. *NM*
              • Thanks for confirming! I was thinking it would be a good subject for a tool clone because it hasn't been issued in so long (I was thinking late sixties but '61 was before I was even born!), and El Caminos are always popular. The '60s were particularly attractive, IMHO. *NM*

        • Round2 reissues the ‘73 revised to ‘71 Mustang and 007 version. Revell does the same thing with their new tool. The Revell Impala’s are decent, but lack correct wheel well shape (too square on the ‘60) and they’re cut too high into the body. I’ll take the AMT. *NM*
          • I would buy the AMT versions if they were reissued. Just saying that with all the other dead tool choices that they have, the Impalas would probably be way down on the list due to product overlap and the associated business case. Just an opinion, nothing more. *NM*
