I can see that blower setup finding its way into a variety of hot rods and customs. *NM*
You did a good job on painting those. It's nifty the supercharged engine is included. *NM*
Thanks TB.... I wasn't going to get this but now it seems that I've changed my mind. Just have to figure out where my cuts are going to be for a shortbox. *NM*
I've got an original '63 shorty project...back cut is as close to the rear wall as possible, front cut is as far forward in the bed as possible. Front cut is easy as I recall, the body sculpturing is pretty straight in that area *NM*
That works good. Here's mine... I cut right behind the front stake pocket, took out the wheel base difference and then cut right in front of the rear pocket and took out the difference in floor length ahead of it *NM* *PIC*
All you guys familiar wiith the original kit...you'll be happy and surprised (I was) with all the improvements to the new kit's body. My original F100 kits had a ton of sink marks and the upper bodyside molding was a mess. The new kit is so much better, thank goodness! TB *NM*
Looking forward to getting one! (at least) So far into this one, might as well finish... first straightup mockup on foose frame with '70 camaro rolling stock. Wheelbase is perfect, track/height will be adjusted. *PIC*
Please share when you land on the dimensions - got some F-100XL on my mind *NM*
The wheelbase difference is 122 vs 114, so 8 scale inches is removed right behind the front vertical rib. The bed floor difference is 98.2 vs 78.2 so 20 inches gets removed forward of the rear vertical rib. This should help... *NM* *LINK*
meant to be image not link... *NM* *PIC*
WHOOPS 12 inches get trimmed from back, not 20... 8 from the front and 12 from the rear makes up the 20 inch bed length reduction needed for the shortbox. Sheesh! *NM*
