Here is a pic of my family getting ready to leave on a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1964. We took a whole month to do the trip (what on earth were my parents thinking!!!). We left from Louisville Ky. and drove to New Mexico. Took a week to drive out there to see all kinds of fun things. Spent two weeks at the ranch and a week driving back by a different route to see more sights. Remember, this was before most of the Interstate hiway system was built. That's me (the oldest) sticking his head out the back with my youngest brother Brian in front of me. Brother Steve is sitting in the front and brother Gary is on the other side. You can almost see our mom in the front seat.
