Here is a real cool pic of the Alakart taken back inna day, and it appears to show the car sitting lower than I remember the way the kit builds up. I'm gonna hafta remember this when I build mine. *NM* *PIC*
1:1 has different size tires front and rear, original kit does not *NM*
That's easy to fix. Is there any difference between the kit recently re-issued, and the one re-issued about 20 years ago?? *NM*
The new one is all-new...
Somehow, I got the impression that the one from 20 years ago was all new. *NM*
By "new", that's the one I meant. There were/are only two *NM*
I think this photo tells the story *PIC*
My one and only time between me and the Ala Kart. When it first hit the market, I just had to build one. "What do you mean, I hafta scrape the chrome off at the glue joints"? Huh, huh? Ha! Watch me!! Way to go, Boomer. You big dummy!! Nope, never did build it!!! L.O.L. *NM*

There were Two kits 31159 and 31971 in 2002. There is a new 2022.....
The one released in 2022 had really cool box art (IMHO). That may be why I got confused. Wonder why there was two kit numbers in 2002?? *NM*
Jim, is this the boxart you referenced.....PIC?
Yes Rich, and thanks for the FULL size picture!! That's definately a keeper. *NM*
There was one in a "checkerboard" box, that was sold by only one department store chain...
31159 is the number on the ones I've owned. The other number could be the checkerboard box they sold at WalMart
I think 31971 was the K-Mart version....PIC.
OK, I've probably talked this to death, so I'm done now, but thanks for all the info. *NM*
