Here's what was required to fit a Revell '72 Cutlass chassis to the AMT '64 Cutlass, never mind the mini-tubs: *NM* *PIC*

This was a Revell '65 Chevelle chassis, stretched to line up with an AMT '64 Chevelle, yes you can make the Starsky and Hutch chassis fit the '71, it just takes plastic and glue! Cheers! *NM* *PIC*

As Dave says it should but doesn't, however it would depend on how badly you want to update the JoHan model..I'm in the process of using the Revell 69 Charger under the JoHan 63 Chrysler 300,had to add 1/4" into the Charger frame & a few tweeks but getting there, lol. *NM*
Same type of problems with the Revell 1970 Torino GT and the Cobra. They are closer to 1/24 scale. I tried to put the interior and chassis of the Revell 1970 Cobra into an original AMT 1970 Cobra body. The Revell stuff was too big. *NM*
How do the two bodies compare?
Mark, its been a few years, my memory is vague. I remember putting the interior side panels into the AMT they were too tall. Also putting the 2 bodies next to each other the Revell is taller and longer than the AMT body. The Cyclone is MPC I think. Maybe that's why it works. *NM*
I'm thinking the AMT Torino body is the odd one out, smaller than the other two...
Much chopping involved - a hybrid of the S+H and GN chassis is the play

I have always just accepted that most Revell equivalent kits compared to AMT or MPC are "slightly" bigger. I just assumed it was the Monogram influence.....
Monogram may have done 1/24 scale because other model companies outside the U,S, did 1/24. 1/25 is U.S. only, but with a twist, from what I've read.
To expand a bit, the 1/10 was what the auto manufacturers used for their engineering drawings (standard engineering decimal use). So that was the drawings the promo producers got to work from. *NM*
