Bought a new laser cutting machine........(pics)

back around 2002 I bought a commercial Hermes laser cutting machine. It was $30K and one of the cheaper machines at the time. I had plans on it being the center of a biz but life got in the way and it became a hobby tool only. I made a lot of stuff, even a few items for folks on this forum. But after 25 years of use the CO2 cart needs to be recharged. After looking for 6 months for someone to recharge mine the best deal was $5K from a company in China.

Needless to say, like most tech, laser cutters are a lot less today, and a good hobby machine sells for 1/10 of what the recharge costs. I hate to loose my high end commercial machine, it cuts within .001" still after 25 years of use. A well made machine from here in the USA. And the machines have little worth because new tech laser cutters are so cheap. The way things go in the real world.

Looking forward to working on a new machine, have some projects backed up......Thanks
