Mike was one of the first people I met when Andy Kallen and I went down to the GSL for the first time in 1982. He was already writing for Scale Auto Enthusiast and encouraged me to try when I talked about that.

We stayed in touch ever since. Although Mike didn't make a lot of noise, he was a mover and shaker in the hobby for almost 50 years.

Well, he didn't make a lot of noise unless you were hangin' out with him. :O)) I'll never forget that raucous laugh. We had fun a year ago at Salt Lake. Cynthia and I went out for dinner with Mike, Pryor Passorino, and Tim Boyd among others. Told a lot of stories and did a lot of laughing...
